Safeguarding and Behaviour Support

School Application
Teacher and Young Student

Children's behaviours are key to telling us what is happening in their lives and it is often an indicator they are not feeling safe. Through observations of children in school, CPD for staff, governors and families, we can enable you to identify the early signs of issues and give staff the confidence to respond and support the child. For The Child will enable safeguarding and promoting children's welfare to be embedded in everything you do.

We can also provide strategies in de-escalation, to avoid restraints.

Our wealth of knowledge can support you with:

  • training staff and governors

  • supporting DSL's in their role

  • training governors, particularly those responsible for safeguarding

  • Auditing systems and processes to ensure they are robust

  • Advise and help with safer recruitment, allegation management and reporting and recording.

Safeguarding can be emotional and traumatic for those involved, so we also offer support and advice with looking after the well-being of staff.
